Do you Vacay??
Vacation is super important to me, sometimes I just crave being somewhere else where I can just disconnect and have some fun!
I get very wrapped up in work while I’m home that I feel like I always have to be accomplishing something- which is totally fine- work hard, vacay hard right?
Sometimes for your business it’s important to take a step back relax your brain and come back with a new perspective.
That’s not to say that I don’t work while I’m on vacay- trust me I have a list of things I want and need to get done while I’m away- but there is just something different about it when you do it on your hotel patio first thing in the morning overlooking the resort pool. Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that its -30 degrees Celsius at home for me.
Back to what I was saying- I definitely have work task that need to get done like maintaining my social media content and interaction with y’all, as well as making sure things are running smoothly back home. But the majority of the work on my list are growth tasks- things that I don’t always have time for when I’m in the grind back home- like creating new blog posts, researching new products, reading and consuming content.
I am able to do these things on vacay, well because I live and breath BrowTab, but also because I work my butt off the weeks leading up to my trip- to get all the regular work done in advance.
Don’t get me wrong- I thoroughly enjoy every moment of my vacay, and working for an hour or 2 a day does not take away from it at all. It’s crazy how many new ideas you can come up with when you’re not fully immersed in the day to day.
Enough about work- let’s talk destinations… If you know me you know how much I love VEGAS!!!! That’s not where I am right now (I only like to go when its super hot) but I also love relaxing tropical spots like Hawaii and Mexico (I’m in PV right now!) I am definitely more of a vacationer than a traveler.
Now I know I am very very lucky to get to travel and vacation like I do (it’s not something I take for granted at all) and I know sometimes a vacay is just not possible- but if you can take a you day or weekend every once and a while and do a little Staycation and unplug and focus on you and some small growth in your business- I think it would do wonders.
What’s your all time fav vacay spot? Do you work on Vacay or shut off complete?
I wanna know!!!
